Peanut Salad

Boiled peanut salad is a quick snack to make. It’s an easy way to get protein in the vegetarian diet. It serves about 7 to 8 people.

 2 cups Raw peanuts
 1.25 cups Water
 ¼ Onion
 1 Tomato
 1 tsp Salt

Take a steel bowl with 2 cups of raw peanuts. Wash it & then add 1.25 cups of water in the bowl.

Place it inside a pressure cooker and cook it. After the first whistle, put the gas stove in a low flame & then leave it for 10 mins. After the 10 mins, switch off the stove.

Allow it to cool for about 6 to 8 mins.

Take the bowl of cooked peanuts from the pressure cooker. Check whether there is some excess water. If so, use a strainer & drain the water completely

Add 1 tsp of salt to it. Add the finely chopped onions & tomatoes to it too

Mix all the above ingredients well & the salad is ready
